Maison Valentino continues its journey towards new sustainable pathways and progresses towards its commitment to environmental awareness also through Valentino Black Tie Fall/Winter 2023 fashion show.

Creativity and giving back merge in an ongoing daily sustainable process in synergy with local

communities - each time a new different achievement is reached.

On March 5, 2023, the historic Parisian venue of the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild hosted the fashion show in a purely essential set-up, enhancing the architectural value of the hôtel particulier built between 1872 and 1878.

The show space will involve wooden benches which will be collected after the show to be entirely

reused by the Maison for its future events and projects, supporting the reuse of the resources.

A modus operandi attuned to safeguard, fully aligned with Maison DNA’s and values, also

involves the moquette covering the entire catwalk perimeter.

After the show, the moquette will be totally recycled by its Italian supplier who is attentive to

minimise environmental impact and close to a conscious-driven ethic.

A result is made possible also by the commitment of the Maison to embrace partners

distinguished by a profound approach to the environment who strive to embed sustainable

practices.

A continuous dialogue: the partnership continues between Maison Valentino and the French

no profit La Réserve des arts (lareservedesarts.org), which started in January 2023 with the

couture show Valentino Le Club Couture aimed at promoting the creative reuse of materials.

The brand will donate part of the textile materials of the fashion show set up to the no profit

organization with the purpose of fostering circular economy among the student community and

other professionals from the cultural fields who can give them new life, in a virtuous circle of

perpetual creativity.

Maison Valentino’s conscious 360° approach is conceived through a global scope but always

with an eye focused on the territory and its Communities. An embedded behaviour is activated

through a detailed understanding of the environmental and social context in which it operates

in synergy with the brand’s stakeholders and its Community.

The redefinition and preservation of beauty is the objective every season alongside a renewed

safeguard of the surrounding environment.

LA RÉSERVE DES ARTS

Non-profit association which supports the cultural and creative sector in the development of the

circular economy by offering collection, recovery and re-circulation services for all types of materials

from the various creative activities in the cultural sector.
