Jacob & Co. To Participate in Salon Privé TIME
Jacob & Co. showcased in Salon Privé, an exclusive watch collection suitable for the annual fair dedicated to rare classic cars and supercars. Billed as the “ultimate end-of-Summer party,” the event will be held September 1 - 5 at Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill.
Jacob & Co. will be one of an exclusive group of ten luxury watchmakers selected to exhibit in a special area called Salon Privé TIME. They will all be inside a luxury tent located at the entrance and exit of the outdoor event on the south lawn of the estate. Guests will have the opportunity to browse, try on and purchase all the magnificent Jacob & Co. pieces on display.
The exclusive event is in its 16th year. It is the first time watchmakers have been asked to exhibit.
“I’m very pleased with the interest and support we’ve had from the watch sector so far,” said David Bagley, co-founder of Salon Privé with his brother Andrew. “As with every aspect of Salon Privé, we go for the top, premium sectors only and so we are very selective about who we invite to participate. Essentially, the right brands bring the right guests so it’s not in our interest to take every inquiry we receive. We’re very mindful of brands being the right fit for the event and of course, vice versa.”

Bagley says he expects the first four days to attract upwards of 3,000 visitors per day and the final day, which is open to the public, to bring in more than 10,000 visitors.
For the first three days, the fair will be open to those who pay upwards of £595 ($816) to attend. The centerpiece of the early days is the Concours d’Elégance, where more than 100 cars and motorcycles will be situated on the South Lawn of the estate for judging and viewing by the guests.
“During the first three days, we have many high-net-worth collectors and enthusiasts attending,” Bagley said. “This is also when the exhibitors and sponsors invite their key clients. You also have the Concours entrants themselves in attendance and they are some of the most affluent guests that attend with many of them having multiple cars in their collections.”
Saturday, September 4, the fourth day, is open to members of luxury and high-performance automobile clubs. In 2020, the event attracted more than 1,000 cars and their owners.
“This is the day when we invite specially selected owners’ clubs such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and others,” Bagley said. “So, whilst the ticket entry price is much cheaper, the attending audience are all still supercar owners. Sunday is the one day that we open to the general public.”
Other exhibitors at Salon Privé include luxury automobile brands, classic car dealers and restorers as well private aircraft companies, luxury fashion brands and contemporary art dealers.
